Specialist Intensivist (Anesthesiology ICU)

Job description / Role

Our client, a leading rehabilitation hospital, is currently looking for a Specialist Intensivist (Anesthesiology ICU) to be based in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. 

The Specialist renders appropriate care for inpatient adult patients (>14years) who are generally medically stable and receiving intensive rehabilitation post injury or illness (neuro/medical). Diagnoses and treats medical conditions, co-ordinates investigations and meetings with patient and family alongside Physical Medicine, Internal Medicine and Rehabilitation Consultants.

Requirements

Requirements:
- Desired Qualifications: Board Certified/MRC/MD/MS in Anesthesia.
- Preferred Experience: Minimum of 10 years relevant experience after completing the post qualification in hospital ICU setting.
- License: Eligible for Department of Health – Abu Dhabi license as Specialist Intensivist/ Specialist Anesthesiologist
- 3-5 years specialist experience post qualification. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and multi-disciplinary team members. Demonstrated commitment to continuing medical education.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Willing to render 24 hours coverage (on call room on site) (48hrs per week).
- Willing to be basing in Abu Dhabi or Al Ain
