About the Job
- Prepare and maintain the Field Master Plan for assigned area in close coordination with other departments to ensure that all operations activities are fully addressed and duly covered. Review and update quarterly to reflect changes in divisional objectives/targets/Plans.
- Support the development and implementation of 5 years Business Plan by collating data, conducting analysis and producing reports in order to assess the inputs and provide management on value creation issues.
- Analyse the impact of changes and share recommendations for potential planning scenarios. Identify and analyse problem areas and propose appropriate recommendations.

Key Accountabilities

Operation Planning
- Supervise the Implementation of the 5 years business plan to ensure alignment and recommend to management any requirements.
- Set target dates for submission, discussion and agreement of various planning sub-sets so that the overall target dates for approved plans, corresponding resource and financial budgets are achieved
- Set up a system for follow up of business plans, ensuring that their regularly monitored/analysed including employee integration and implementation of Audit Findings and review of Risk Register.
- Work hand to hand with Performance Management to review scorecard, business process.
- Research key parameters focused on short and medium term business planning, and provide inputs for the maintenance of the databases by regularly communicating with all departments in order to receive pertinent information regularly and in a standardized format.
- Assist and deliver all data input required for short and medium term plans and provide comprehensive descriptions for all plans.
- Support the department Manager in developing and coordinating the preparation and development of short/long term plans and programs for assigned area.
- Participate and coordinate the development of the Information Technology plans covering hardware and software requirements.
- Review and scrutinize all Cost/Process Optimization proposals before further processing for management approval.
- Drive visible performance management, use KPI's to track progress, monitoring actual performance versus plan promoting awareness to drive improvement.
- Initiate and lead Business initiatives to improve the Planning Processes, proactively manage led projects to improve efficiency and longer term planning.

KPIs & Performance Management
- Support in developing and maintaining the right dashboards and business performance reports. Coordinate with different departments in gathering data and information that relate to our Operations performance and ensure data quality.
- Coordinate the activities of producing weekly and monthly Performance reports and Performance Scorecard updates.
- Assist in the performance review process by analysing the performance, highlighting issues and following-up previous recommendations fulfilment.
- Participate in the development, review policies, procedures and work practices and prepare appropriate recommendations for improvement.
- Research and monitor progress against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and objectives and analyse reasons for any material variances whilst identifying opportunities and support implementation of action plans.
- Prepare for the operations group performance review meetings that includes analysing data/trends and understanding reasons for performance deviation.
- Provide professional analytical support to Senior Management. Conduct analyses to identify key business trends, opportunities for improvement targets. Data Analytics
- Analyze business data to assess performance of business lines. Provide support for strategic and operational planning through Data analysis of historical business transactional data, market trends and develop factual business scenarios for senior management decision making.
- Collate data and information on various aspects of the Operations group performance. Build new performance reports to enable the management to track progress on delivering the milestones and metrics set out in the departmental delivery plan.
- Enable business units to monitor their performance by increase data availability through gathering multiple sources and ensure data quality.
- Diagnose business performance issues through data analysis and recommend corrective measures and support during the implementation phase.
- Maintain a database of performance trends for each KPI and with "look-back" analysis of major projects.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline. Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
- At least 8 years of experience in Business Planning and Performance Management role preferably in oil and gas retail industry
