Specialist - Risk (UAE National)

Job Purpose
This role will provide high-level support on the effectiveness of risk mitigation programs across corporate, unit and individual projects levels. Validate the associated cost to address major risks based on Loss expectancy and advise on response strategy adequacy. Advise on current controls usefulness in sustaining the risk levels. The role will be key to monitor the ever-changing risk landscape.

Requirements

The jobholder will be a graduate in finance, economics or business and must hold a relevant risk management and/or health and safety certification. The job holder should have experience and/or training in risk management, audit and assurance services.

Experience
- At least four years experience in assurance and risk management, with a significant amount of that time in the airport sector.
- Strong negotiation skills and a proven ability to communicate data and information in a manner that is readily understood by a wide audience of varied experience.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Acess and Powerpoint. Experience in enterprise risk management applications.
- Superior analytical, research and problem solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.

Training
- Certification required in any area for professional ongoing development or for mandatory purposes.

Knowledge
- In depth knowledge of all sectors of the aviation market and an excellent awareness of the industry
- Full understanding of airport operations from airspace and airfield through to terminal operations
- Business knowledge/expertise/awareness
- Financial concepts and applications
- Risk management
- Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and auditing programmes and internal controls.
- Knowledge of project management approaches.
