Dubai Center for Special Needs is a non-profit, charity organization dedicated to providing Special Education, Multi-Disciplinary Therapeutic Intervention and Vocational Training to students with various disabilities. We are currently accepting applications for the following position:

SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPIST

We are looking for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our dedicated team of multi-disciplinary therapists in providing a comprehensive therapy service for the students at the Centre.

The role involves providing individual and group therapy, undertaking assessments, developing programs and providing reports.

Requirements

Required qualifications and experience:

- Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Speech & Language Therapy
- Minimum of 2+ years experience (must have worked within the last 2 years)
- Preferably already in possession of DHA license
- Experience of working with special needs children and young people in a school setting is an advantage
- Fluency in spoken & written English essential; spoken Arabic an advantage
- Good communication skills

Requirements for DHA License:

- Must hold a recognized Speech and Language Therapy degree (or higher)
- Minimum of 2 years post graduate work experience
- Work experience supported by a references letter signed & stamped by previous employers

There are 135 students at The Center of which 65% are U.A.E. Nationals. Our students are aged between 3 years and 27 years. Our aim is to give each and every one of our students the best quality of life of which they are able physically, emotionally, socially and academically.

When they have finished their academic education, we concentrate on prevocational training taking them to various organizations within Dubai for work experience and, hopefully, we can finally help them to gain employment within the community and to take their rightful place in this world which is their moral right.
