Sr. Planning Civil Engineer, High-rise Building

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Planning Civil Engineer to join our construction team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating high-rise building projects, ensuring the successful execution of construction plans and schedules.

Responsibilities:
- Developing detailed construction plans and schedules for high-rise building projects, considering factors such as budget, resources, and timeline constraints
- Collaborating with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the construction plans align with the building design and specifications
- Utilizing project management tools and software to monitor progress, track milestones, and identify potential delays or obstacles
- Conducting site visits and inspections to assess construction progress, resolve any planning or scheduling issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Providing regular reports and updates to the project team and key stakeholders regarding the status of construction plans, schedule adherence, and any necessary adjustments
- Identifying and implementing innovative strategies to optimize construction efficiency, minimize risks, and enhance overall project performance
- Leading and mentoring a team of planning engineers and coordinators, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of construction plans

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree or additional certifications are a plus
- Proven experience working as a Planning Engineer or Project Manager in the construction industry, with a focus on high-rise building projects
- In-depth knowledge of construction planning principles, techniques, and best practices, with a strong understanding of building codes and regulations
- Proficiency in project management software, such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate potential issues and develop effective solutions
- Strong communication and leadership abilities, with the capacity to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and motivate project members
- Detail-oriented mindset, with a commitment to accuracy and precision in developing and executing construction plans
- Familiarity with the construction industry in the UAE-Dubai region, including local regulations, market trends, and industry standards
