Stock Keeper cum Inventory Contoller

Job description / Role

We are looking to hire experienced Stock Keeper, to join our growing company and to be in charge of full inventory control (in and out) of the business and to coordinate, track and issue corresponding documentation for all the stock movements in addition to monitoring and taking required care of all the company assets.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Receive and count any incoming stock/assets physically (cross check with the documentation) and electronically in order to ensure accuracy of information
• Inspect the quality of the received products looking for damaged or wrong items and report discrepancies to the concerned personnel
• Classify and store items in the warehouse on a daily basis as per shop procedure in order to ensure timely attending and release of products
• Organize and arrange merchandize according to items characteristics and set standards and tag newly arrived and/ or returned items as instructed
• Coordinate the cleansing of the warehouse to maintain cleanliness of the storage areas
• Revise the stock items regularly and arrange for the dry clean/steaming if necessary
• Participate in the inventory of products in the main warehouse, showroom, office & atelier, as well as in the stores (shop floors & storage areas) and provide reporting to assigned managers
• Assist all the departments with the movements/other activities related to the production, samples, stock, assets, etc…
• Monitor movement of the merchandise in the stores based on the sales reports and send out of stock items to the stores to ensure availability of merchandise at all times
• Report any suspected theft or loss prevention issue to the higher management
• Assist stores with preparing items for the special sales, promotions, etc.
• Assist production department by controlling available stocks and usage of fabrics, trims and other consumables
• Provide reports in the agreed format to the finance department as well as other departments requiring inventory documentation

Requirements

Ideal Candidate / Requirements:

The ideal candidate would have at least 5 years of previous experience as a Store/Stock Keeper or in other inventory control related role within retail, trading or manufacturing industry and would possess the following:

• Fluent English languages skills (spoken and written)
• Strong numerical skills
• Higher diploma/Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and multitasking
• To be highly organized with the attention to the details
• Ability to work well in the team and solely
• Sense of punctuality, accountability & responsibility is essential
