About the Job

The jobholder is responsible to manage the Strategic Management department for Borouge to meet the Owner's strategies and Borouge's objectives, while ensure high level of communication and alignment among functions and divisions. This role includes; managing the corporate strategy development and implementation for Borouge with close alignment across all functions, leading the strategic projects to support the strategic planning for functions, and accountable for the high-level reporting and communications with Owners. Development, deployment and tracking of the corporate strategy progress across organization, acting as the strategic head for the company and ensures alignment of Corporate Strategic Objectives with key stakeholders and shareholders; i.e. ADNOC and Borealis.

Key Accountabilities

Strategy Development
- Contribute towards the formulation and implementation of long-term business strategies, based on Shareholders' guidelines, the annual and five-year business plans and company's vision, mission, and values.
- Develop annual and five-year Business Plans to ensure that the work program is consistent with the set vision, mission, objectives, and Business Plan guidelines.
- Contribute to the long-term planning and strategy-formulation activities and bring about integration of annual plans with overall strategy.
- Plan, implement and manage Internal Communication strategies, targets, channels, and initiatives channels for promoting an improvement and innovation-oriented organization culture.
- Development and tracking of Strategic objectives and ensuring that these are in line with the mission, vision, and values of the Company.
- Formulation and implementation of the major goals and initiatives taken by a company's top management on behalf of owners.

Executive Communications
- Prepare the Board Meetings and other high-level meetings with stakeholders, and how to ensure that the minutes of meetings are captured and acted upon.
- Prepare various management reports, including the Company's Management Report to the Shareholders, and how to review the draft corporate agreements.
- Develop, deploy, and analyze stakeholders' feedback processes, such as Corporate Employee Opinion Surveys, Customer Surveys, etc.
- Contribute to the corporate initiatives programs and innovation activities run by other functions and ensure they are aligned with the Strategic objectives of the company.

Corporate Planning
- Facilitate and lead studies, projects, and tasks that are strategic in nature or that have an organizational context, such as cyclic initiatives, one-time initiatives, and business plans.12
- Communicate the values and benefits of changing initiatives to the various business units in the Company and support corporate initiatives programs and innovation activities run by other functions.
- Develop and lead the company's program management office, tools, and reporting to ensure the proper alignment of the company strategies and stakeholders' activities.

Trade Advocacy
- Represent Borouge in key industry associations in relation to trade to build advocacy measures that support Borouge and the industry.
- Maintain high quality work relationships with the higher-level authorities, local ministries, government authorities, ADNOC group and other external institutes.

- Represents the company in key industry associations related to trade and builds advocacy measures that support its interests and the industry.
- Provide top management and other departments with relevant guidance and advice on government matters that affect the company's operations and interests

Shareholders Relations
- Lead in coordinating timely response and completion of meetings actions, the ensure smooth and time communication of the correspondence among various stakeholders internally and externally.
- Timely review, update or create agreements and documentations in line with the Shareholders' directions and instructions and follow up with different stakeholders to ensure timely inputs and feedback.
- Explore and follow up on Borouge's representation in the key events; i.e. GPCA, etc. to ensure the required coordination for participation in tasks and events from various functions within Borouge.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science, or equivalent degree in Business Administration preferably with additional professional certification in corporate governance or business strategy.
- Graduate or Postgraduate degree in International Business or Economy is preferred.
- High Mathematical IQ for technical-market analysis and scenarios is preferred.
- Advanced understanding of Trading Theories and Practices
- Advanced and updated knowledge of WTO regulations and updates
- Advanced knowledge about Protectionism, and any relevant agreements
- Knowledge of business scenarios, regression models and market analysis
- Minimum 15 years of total experience & 8 years in Strategy Development for Large Scale / Multinational Organizations.
- Previous experience in Petrochemicals, Polymers or Chemical Industries is an advantage.
- Hands-on Market Research and Business Scenarios
- Strong knowledge of government structures and policymakers in foreign markets; i.e. China, South Asia, Africa, and Europe
- Strategy Management & KPI Certified
