Structural Design Manager

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer OR a Structural Design Manager to join an international architecture and engineering consultancy in Dubai, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the structural design process, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and innovative solutions for complex building projects in the UAE and KSA. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent client facing skills and a strong technical background in structural design.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the structural design team, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure high performance and professional development
- Oversee the development of structural design concepts, calculations, and detailed drawings for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Collaborate closely with the architecture and engineering teams to integrate structural solutions seamlessly into overall project designs
- Review and approve structural design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports, to ensure accuracy and quality
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to assess the implementation of structural designs and provide technical support as needed
- Stay updated on the latest developments in structural design technology, materials, and best practices, and introduce innovative solutions to enhance project outcomes
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors regarding structural design-related inquiries and issue resolution

Salary:
AED 35,000 to 45,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience in structural design and project management within the architecture and engineering industry, with a focus on large scale and complex projects
- In-depth knowledge of structural design principles, building codes, and regulations, as well as proficiency in structural design software and tools such as ETABS, SAP2000, and Revit
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead a team and collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset to drive innovative and efficient structural design solutions
- Professional certification or licensure as a Structural Engineer is preferred
- Fluency in written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively
