Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Institute of Applied Technology is seeking Supervisor Curriculum Specialist, mechanical to design and develop the curriculum in Mechanical Engineering, and oversee its implementation within the broader framework of IAT educational goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Design career-oriented curriculum and programs aligned to internationally-recognized educational objectives and benchmarking exams.
• Manage the selection of suitable instructional resources and support material that meet the learning objectives and outcomes.
• Prepare regular system-wide exams and guide in the overall assessment of learning.
• Develop teaching syllabi, planning overviews, and guidelines to facilitate the delivery of rigorous academics in campuses.
• Keep abreast of (and evaluate) current best practices in education, teaching, curriculum design, and assessment.
• Keep abreast of new technologies and look at options for implementation as applicable.
• Regularly liaise with teaching staff to ensure that student learning needs are met.
• Identify any Professional Development needs for teaching staff

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years teaching experience in Mechanical Engineering at secondary school level
• Experience in curriculum planning and design with a proven leadership role
