Job description / Role
A well-known product distributor is urgently looking for a Supply Chain Manager. The post-holder will oversee several units of the company which are purchasing/buying, warehouse, operations, and supply chain. This is a senior role that will report directly to the CEO and will have the following job responsibilities:
• Responsible for sourcing new suppliers for the company
• Handling all the negotiations and communication with all existing and prospective suppliers
• Manage supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery and total cost
• Create supply chain management strategies that increase efficiency and speed
• Ensure efficient supply chain management, warehouse management, and operations across all locations in the MENA region
• Ensure online and physical inventories are aligned
• Reviewing supply chain practices and suggesting risks minimizing methods
• Collaborate with other departments to identify vulnerabilities and close operational gaps
• Focus on safety, cost management and business growth in all interactions and directives
• Expanding the market reach of the company to different areas in MENA
• Prepare and submit reports to CEO on regular basis
• Monitoring and ensuring that KPIs are met
• Optimize warehouse functions
Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, you need to meet the following criteria:
• A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering, logistics, or related field,
• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar field, FMCG/product distribution is highly desirable
• Ideally has CSCP or CPSM certification
• Experience in managing a team; managing teams in multiple countries is highly desirable
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Experience in the use of high-volume data for the purposes of trend analysis and performance improvement
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills
• Strong understanding of the MENA market
• Must be flexible to travel to different locations
• Proven track record in developing markets and achieving business results
