Employment: Full Time

Our Client is one of the Leaders in EPC contracting in diversified markets around the globe.

Established in Asia in the 1940s, they pride themselves with numerous awards throughout the years, setting the standards in many projects across the Middle East.

Included in their prestigious projects are areas in Oil & Gas, Nuclear energy and renewable energy

With ongoing expansion and specifically to an iconic project in Dubai, we are seeking a Survey Manager to join the team.

Key responsibilities of the role are as follows:
• Generate the “Survey Master Plan” for the overall period from manufacturing at factory to erection at site of Special Structures
• Overall Surveying Management incorporating the manufacturer’s and site construction service companies and Surveying subcontractor
• Analyzing the surveying results and errors from the output each party (Manufacturer’s, Surveying subcontractors, Etc)
• Review and Verify survey method statements from each party (Manufacturer, surveying subcontractor)
• Establish overall combined surveying plan with surveying subcontractor and manufacturer for entire period from manufacturing through to erection.
• Record and control the survey report for the entire period
• Manage and educate the Company’s staff and maintenance of surveying equipment.
• Provide and present the technical criteria and information for resolving outstanding issues which is related to the surveying
• Understand the TUV’s minimum requirements for surveying and present rational methods
• Distribute / Submit the Survey data to relevant parties
• Coordinate work with the Manufacturer/Installation Company/Surveying subcontractor/ internal team/ Employer

Requirements

• Graduate in Civil Engineering (Specialization in Accurate Surveyor)
• Candidates with experience in “Accuracy Control” within Ship Building industry would be preferred
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in surveying
• Experience in Survey Management of Special structures i.e. over 400 m cable stayed bridge’s or over 800 m suspension bridge and 150m or higher pylons
• Experience in “Geometric Control”
• Excellent communication skills in English both written and verbal
• Ability to make overall survey methods, Example: how to survey, where to survey, when to survey
• Full understanding of structural behavior, design requirements and erection sequence.
