As such, SAP is creating a new team of Sustainability Principals. The role of Sustainability Principal requires deep knowledge on the topic of sustainability and broad functional knowledge of SAP Applications, in order to drive actionable projects that improve the outcomes of Profit/ the Planet/ People. Regulatory requirements are heterogeneous and changing, knowledge of these Regulatory, Standard Providers, and agreements are essential. The ideal candidate can pull together a wide variety of information, has several mental models to integrate, and make strategic recommendations to our customers and prospects. Skills in listening and understanding a customer's challenges and strategy, their as-is environment, knowing the broad set of SAP Applications, and being able to generate Use Cases that extend our solutions from the 1st bottom line to the 2nd and 3rd bottom lines. Experience in leading large-scale customer transformations, but with the mental agility to break new ground, is essential. Knowledge sharing by capturing new approaches and creating enablement that accelerates the scaling of SAP and its ecosystem. It's a demanding set of skills but is a unique opportunity for a true change maker.

FOCUS: Driving adoption of SAP Cloud for Sustainable Enterprises

The Sustainability Principal:

- Combines deep knowledge of sustainability, the ability to lead consultive customer engagements, and a broad understanding of underlying SAP solutions, business processes, and Industry value chains
- Advocates for Customers across sustainability Solution Areas and LOBs
- Provides educated customer discussions on sustainability
- Evangelizes for SAP with customers
- Strategically develops targeted accounts, deals in the region
- Delivers E2E recommendations and connected customer experience across a customer engagement
- Coaches the Sustainability SWAT on customer sustainability engagements.
- Aligns with SWAT leads on customer-facing value, pre-sales, services, partner engagement
- Collaborates with Sustainability SWAT on opportunities
- Drives adoption KPIs (adoption, references, enablement)
- Drives alignment with LOBs on solution and industry-specific E2E messaging
- Drives pilots of new SAP Cloud for Sustainable Enterprises
- Positions sales plays and bundles
- Aligns with global solution experts in Marketing & Solutions and Product Engineering
- Drives Adoption KPIs like # of reference customers, # of customers, engagements - strategic and tactical.
- Collaborates with Sustainability Lead
- Customer facing, revenue enabling role
- Works on must-win accounts and strategic engagements
- Participates in best practice sharing with other Regional Sustainability Principals
- Supports customer activity as needed by the Regional Sustainability Lead.

Reporting:

- The Sustainability Principal in EMEA South role reports to the Global Head of Sustainability.

Requirements

Qualifications:

- Sustainability expertise in a must to be a trusted partner of our customers' Chief Sustainability Officers and other LOBs focused on emissions, waste, equality and holistic steering and reporting.
- Industry Expertise
- Master's Degree
-15+ years of experience engaging with customers and organizations around sustainability this topic
- Ability to collaborate, drive teamwork

Required Skills:

- Deep understanding and knowledge of Sustainability and SAP customers challenges across industries as it relates to sustainability
- Knowledge of SAP sustainability portfolio, positioning, and a passion for the topic
- Experience leading and executing cross-team programs and/or events (including executive, employee, customer, partner stakeholders)
- Proven ability to turn strategies into actionable plans, leveraging a matrixed organization to support the change
- Ability to mentor and manage team members to ensure driving to common purposes and goals
- Recognize and address any challenges/issues timely, meeting and/or exceeding expectations and managing risks
- Strong execution capabilities with a can-do attitude: Personal conviction and energy
- Collaborative and inspiring leadership style with peers, teams, colleagues, customers
- Anticipate problems, seeks opportunities, and strong challenger mentality
- A passion for and a track record of delivering significant and sustained impact
- Ability to manage matrix environments
