Job description / Role
Reporting to the GM, you will be primary responsible for:
• Designing the range of sweaters for the business’s global clients (value and high street fashion retailers)
• Involvement in all aspects of product design and development; including boards, approvals, samples and presentations
• Coordination with cross functional teams (quality control, merchandising, production) to develop and approve product throughout the design process
• Research global and domestic markets to identify new trends, fabrics and techniques
Requirements
• Minimum 4-5 years design experience
• Product and fabric knowledge as well as an understanding of garment construction
• Prior sweater design experience a must
• Complete knowledge of the design process
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and MS Office Suite
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• The ability to identify trends and track them on an ongoing basis
