Job Description & Summary
The ERP Business Analyst is responsible for supporting critical projects in the Tax and Legal Services business ("TLS"), and sits within our Digital TLS team based in Dubai. As an ERP Business Analyst you should have strong business, technical and analytical skills and be able to apply your knowledge across the team. We expect you to bring proven technical experience combined with business process skills.

As an ERP Business Analyst, you will play a key role particularly in the following areas;

- Working with business units to develop, maintain, and deliver education and training to strengthen user knowledge and skills related to ERP
- Working with decision-makers and end users to gather requirements, recommend software solutions and business processes to meet or exceed the requirements
- Configure and test ERP systems to perform specific functionality to satisfy tax reporting related business requirements
- Create functional specifications, coordinate development and test work instructions and ad-hoc reports
- Assist with full site implementations, which include pilot testing, data validation, development of data transformation rules and governance procedures, and post implementation support
- Troubleshoot ERP anomalies and process issues
- Design and develop reports and dashboards using data warehouse and business intelligence tools
- Maintain documentation relating to ERP implementation

The ERP Business Analyst will combine client facing sales and deployment activity with back office support and development in a borderless manner. The Business Analyst will be part of a network of regionally mobile professionals dedicated to supporting the vision of PwC's TLS leadership in respect of following technology solutions
- Outsource/insource compliance
- Data & analytics
- Process and data mapping
- Performance improvement
- ERP implementations

Activities supported by the ERP Business Analyst will include:
- Solution development, configuration, deployment and support
- Scoping
- Sales activities, marketing and pricing
- R&Q, legal and engagement assistance

You will be responsible for delivery of implementation and user support services to clients.

In your role you will work with clients throughout the delivery and support lifecycle of the solutions in the Digital TLS team, and may be asked to help with technical questions during the sales cycle.

You will be able to write and run queries in various ERP systems on consulting engagements with clients on TLS engagements.

You will have ownership of, but not limited to:
- Scoping, documentation & process mapping
- Software implementation, including configuration of software and testing build outcomes
- UAT support
- Live user support
- Bug analysis and reporting, testing bug fixes
- Infrastructure maintenance

You will be a self starter and capable of working individually or in small groups as a remote part of a virtual global team. Although you will have local PwC office support, you will be comfortable acting on your own initiative. You will be mobile and prepared to support a regional team.

You will have both a client facing and back office role, must present well and be capable of clear and concise communication, including explaining technology concepts to clients who may not understand all the work being undertaken. You will build relationships with client IT staff during implementation phases and support the local PwC relationship manager with overall tax relationship. You will become an expert in the solutions offered and be a first point of contact for both internal and external clients wanting to understand how the solutions function.

Requirements

You must have strong IT and infrastructure skills, formal education and experience on the Microsoft stack is essential. In particular, you will need to be comfortable with:

- Microsoft SQL & cloud based environments
- Industry standard project management tools and approaches
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent and at least 5 years of relevant ERP work experience. An advanced degree in a technical field is preferred
- Experience of more than one end-to-end implementation of an ERP system, with finance domain experience required
- Specific knowledge of SAP (in particular SD, MM and FI) is a must; Oracle and Navision platforms is a plus
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Projects)
- Demonstrated technical knowledge of computer system functions, operations, security and configuration
- Practical knowledge of relational database table structure and data access
- Prior knowledge of handling VAT accounting in ERP systems is an advantage
