Play Your Part
To consistently ensure and deliver the highest standards of exemplary guest service & exceed guest expectations where possible. To ensure consistent housekeeping standards, stock replenishment and cash handling standards. To achieve sales targets and understanding sales trend and guest buying habits, for a better inventory control. To ensure that SOPs are adhered in accordance with company policies. To schedule daily store planner to ensure smooth operation to maximize labour productivity. To train new team members and to also provide coaching when required.

Main Duties
- Managing daily retail operations, opening and closing of stores and carts
- Provide good service standards in accordance with company's philosophy
- Attend to guest needs and going the extra mile to exceed guest expectations
- Motivate and work as a team with Sales Associates to achieve targets
- Ensure consistent housekeeping standards, merchandise display, stock replenishment, handle cash register and maintain accurate stock control
- Understand sales trend and provide suggestions and feedback to Store Management team on how to achieve store revenue and per cap growth
- Understand store assortment mix
- Maintains a positive and professional representation with guest and team members interaction
- Reports misconduct to the manager in a timely manner
- Monitor store inventory movement & inform Store Management if there are irregularity in stock movement
- Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are adhered in accordance with company policies
- Schedule daily store planner to ensure a smooth operation and be proactive towards changes according to business needs
- Assign tasks or roles to team members efficiently to maximize productivity
- Ensures that Environmental, Health and Safety requirements are adhered
- Learn, Practice and Adhere all related safety procedure related to job and work area. Knowing and Following the advised restrictions and limitations in performing the job.
- Establish and follow good housekeeping practices.
- Follow or establish safety procedures or avoiding working alone wherever possible. Hence, if inevitable, advise the Line Manager and know the alternative means to contact in case of emergency.
- Adhere to fire safety and emergency evacuation procedures, including assisting the guests when evacuating. By exercising the "duty of care". As moral and legal obligation to protect the guests, staffs, contractors, vendors, suppliers, third party partners and all other persons within our care from harm or loss when they are exposed to our activities and using our services, with watchfulness, attention, caution, and prudence that a reasonable person in all circumstances would.
- Follow the use of equipment, machines and tools safely. Keeping all work areas clear of clutter.
- Contribute to a healthy, illness-free work place by observing proper personal hygiene, high standard of cleanliness and observing consistent housekeeping like frequent hand washing to reduce the risk of common infections and cross contaminations.
- Ensure that fire exits are not blocked, and fire extinguishers are monitored and updated.
- Ensure a complete first aid kit and within easy access and advise Line Manager if it need a further first aid item.
- Know how to report a hazard and a near miss to the Line Manager. Cooperate and resolve incidences involving oneself and persons within own's control and influence, timely and accurately.
- Follow strictly the rules and regulations set by the company to protect the lives and welfare of the persons involved in the business processes, including the protection of property and environment from damages and other form of losses.
- Commit to safe systems of work by adhering to agreed processes that are put in place, which can include, but not limited to those in the approved manuals, policies, procedures and SOP's and thus it shall be everyone's responsibility to know and understand thoroughly these systems and processes, execute properly an avoid short cut.
- Provide, as afar as reasonably practicable, the highest level of protection, against harm or loss from hazards and risks to health, safety and welfare, of oneself and of the persons working under own's authority.
- Provide buddy system or on-the-job coaching to new team members on board
- Be a role model to the team and is able to lead and provide feedback or coaching when required
- Provide product knowledge training to team when no products are launched
- Provide coaching to team members on selling skills and guest service standards
- Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management team

Requirements

Are You a Star?
In order to be qualified for this role you should possess the below criteria:

Essential

- Diploma Education
- 3 years retail experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory position
- Effective oral and written communications skills in English
- Strong hospitality acumen and demonstrates knowledge of retail operations
- Possess good interpersonal skills for interacting with people
- A team player and have the ability of meeting assigned targets
- Ability to operate a computer. Minimum basic level user of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Ability to work in a fast pace and dynamic theme park environment
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment and to stand for long hours
- Work on a rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays
- Available for overtime work as schedule requires
- Flexible working hours
- Physically fit

Desirable

- Diploma in Retail Management
- Preferably has theme park retail operations experience
- Ability to communicate in Arabic
- Possess good leadership quality

The development will also feature Riverland - a grand entrance plaza and Lapita, a family themed hotel. The first phase is scheduled for completion in 2016. Ground work commenced on site in February 2014
