Technical Support Specialist - Fire Protection

Job description / Role

A leading regional fire protection organization are currently seeking a Technical Support specialist to join their UAE office.

Responsibilities:
- Provide technical information and support to customers, insurers, users, consultants and specifiers.
- Work closely with local sales and customer service colleagues.
- Answer customers' technical questions on products.
- Provide documentation, including datasheets and approval information.
- Provide hydraulic calculations.
- Prepare quotations for our customers.
- Support system design.
- Propose improvements of system configurations.
- Assist specifiers to specify correct material in complex projects.
- Giving technical training/seminars to customers.

This role requires regular travel of up to 25% of working time.

Requirements

- Mechanical Engineering diploma or similar.
- Understanding of the contracting business.in the Middle East.
- Knowledge of 2D and 3D softwares (e.g. Autocad).
- Experience in design and hydraulic calculations and to have some knowledge in the fire
protection or related business.
