Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

To establish and lead an effective Group-wide Technology, Data and Reporting function, oversee implementation of controls to test systems related to Regulatory Compliance including Financial Crime, oversee activity related to risk analysis, intelligence and investigations and periodically prepare management information reports to defined stakeholders.

* Effectively lead and manage the TDR Team by setting of individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff to maximise performance.
* Support the Compliance Governance Department in talent management including acting as an SME on developing and delivering TDR related training.
* Provide guidance and on the job training for junior colleagues and conduct knowledge sharing sessions.
* Identify TDR Team resource shortfalls against the Compliance Department capacity plan.
* Act as a role model to direct and indirect reports to drive adherence to organisational values and ethics and foster a value driven culture within the bank.
* Establish and lead the new Group function including associated written procedures and processes aligned to Group Policy.
* Conduct feasibility studies to assess need for new systems and provide technical inputs during technology vendor selection
* Oversee the design and system architecture of compliance related systems consulting with business users.
* Define UAT requirements for new system implementation.
* Oversee the periodic testing of compliance related systems, including testing of data, quality and completeness, underlying models, logic, etc.
* Establish and own change management controls and protocols
* Periodically consult with compliance SMEs to get inputs on system, data and reporting requirements and drive projects from conceptualisation through implementation.
* Oversee management of change orders for modifications and upgrades to compliance related systems and tools development.
* Oversee system updates in response to risks identified
* Oversee activity related to risk analysis, intelligence and investigations to identify typologies and trends of compliance risks, identified from analysis of customer and transaction data. Feedback into training team, as required.
* Provide subject matter expertise on Compliance related Intelligence, drawing on financial intelligence and law enforcement networks, professional qualifications and experience
* Establish and maintain close working relationships with relevant government Financial Intelligence Units and with counterparts at peer banks in order to understand emerging risk themes
* Issue regular intelligence reports to the Group
* Ensure that risk themes identified are utilized in compliance monitoring and screening systems
* Collaborate closely with Compliance colleagues to ensure that risk themes identified inform process and control enhancement.
* Oversee and own the management information production process including extracting relevant data from source systems.
* Collaborate with Compliance SMEs to define Compliance related MI dashboards
* Collaborate with Compliance colleagues to obtain information required to populate defined dashboards.

Requirements

* At least 8 years of experience in managing Compliance related systems WITHIN A BANK
* Preferably have 3+ years of managerial level experience in data analytics, risk analysis or similar statistics discipline WITHIN A BANK
* IT compliance within a bank
