Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Objectives: In charge of planning and executing the trade marketing strategy and handling communication with film distribution companies and exhibitors. Set a Promotions strategy to recruit and retain Promotional partners.

Reporting to: Marketing Manager

Other interactions: Sales Department, Finance Department and External Suppliers

Main responsibilities:
• Screen films and submit screening reaction to the team
• Obtain timely required approvals from the studios and the exhibitors and oversee the execution of events and promotions
• Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with exhibition and promotional partners
• Increase earned media values to enhance movies exposure
• Obtain timely required approvals from the studios and the exhibitors and manage the execution of events and promotions in coordination with Marketing Manager
• Head the planning for the in-cinema branding in order to enhance movies exposure at the different exhibitors
• Secure a flawless communication and implementation of earned media promotions and events
• Secure flawless planning and execution of the in-cinema events and promotions
• Lead in dealing with current promo partners
• Optimize on-site execution for in-cinema branding, events and promotions
• Liaise with the Sales Managers on all exhibitor related activities
• Maintain a good relationship with Marketing, Promotions and Events Managers at promo partners’ side.
• Submit creative brief to the Creative Agency upon Marketing Manager’s approval
• Follow up on creative development of materials with the Creative Agency
• Prepare a summary report after the Empire premieres
• Maintain excellent relationship with exhibition partners and make sure that in-cinema deals are serviced and honored
• Identify and establish contact with potential promo partners
• Select, order and distribute in-cinema materials in coordination with sales team
• Select, order and distribute promo items to promo partners and exhibitors
• Empower and develop a good relationship with Marketing, Promotion and Cinema Managers at the exhibition side
• Recruit suppliers to deliver on all potential projects in an efficient way (print, AV,…)
• Approve invoices of all suppliers in accordance with set budgets
• Update the POS material budgets and submit to the Marketing Manager
• Share the Movie Material sent by the studio with the Empire team, collect feedback and share with the Studio
• Implementation and execution of the Trade Marketing strategy where partners from 3 tiers (Media, Exhibitors & Brands) are recruited and engaged on Empire titles

• Desired start date: May 1st, 2017
• Duration: Permanent position, 2-years contract
• Probation: 3 to 6 months
• Working Hours: Sunday to Thursday 9am to 6pm
• Travel requirements: Frequent Travel to GCC
• Gross monthly base salary: 20,000
• Commission / Bonus: no
• Other Benefits: included in the salary

Requirements

University Qualifications: Bs degree in marketing or Equivalent

Nature and length of previous experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience

Language Fluency: English and Arabic
