Training Device Quality Engineer

Job description / Role

Synopsis

Implement technical and quality control measures which ensure that EAT flight simulation equipment and other training devices continues to meet quality and training objectives, and regulatory requirements while achieving industry leading levels of reliability and safety. Help Engineering and Maintenance department support stakeholders by providing engineering solutions.

Accountabilities

- QTG review management, validation & quality control. Ensuring the recurrent QTGs are carried out, validated appropriately, and recorded i.a.w applicable regulations and internal processes.
- Ensuring FSTD Subjective Flyouts are planned, executed, and recorded i.a.w applicable regulations and internal processes.
- Ensuring FSTD Visual Model checks are planned, executed, recorded and database is managed i.a.w applicable regulations and internal processes.
- Implementation of software and hardware configuration control, including integration and acceptance of manufacturer delivered software. i.a.w applicable regulations and internal processes.
- Providing simulator and aircraft subject matter support to the simulator maintenance team during the investigation of simulator system and hardware problems.
- Defect clearance - planning, logistics, implementation, reporting.
- Planning, logistics & support for EASA/GCAA FSTD Qualification visits.
- Supporting simulator quality control activities by working closely with project pilots and other subject matter experts to ensure training equipment objective and subjective performance continues to meet both regulatory and training requirements.

Requirements

Education & Experience

- Educated to an appropriate bachelor's degree or national equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working within Flight Simulation Industry with strong simulation technical background. Working experience with Cabin Crew Training Devices is an advantage.
- Hands-on working experience on FSTD qualification requirements (QTG, SFT, Configuration control etc).
- Knowledgeable on Regulatory requirement, procedures, and documentation is an advantage.
