Your new company
A large trading company are looking for an experienced travel coordinator to join their head office in Jebel Ali, Dubai. The company is a family run business and has operated in the region for the last 30 years; the company is well established within the scientific sector and operates many contracts with some of the biggest names in scientific equipment.

Your new role
In order to make sure that the travel needs of their organization are met, Travel Coordinators perform a variety of tasks and within this busy role, you will be expected to multitask and work on many different projects at once. You will be responsible for arranging all transportation and accommodation on a large scale; as the primary function of a Travel Coordinator, this responsibility involves finding and
arranging appropriate modes of travel, such as flights and rental cars, as well as making reservations at hotels, motels or other forms of accommodation. For any travel expenses accrued by members of staff, you will be the main point in processing reimbursements – in this, you will be responsible for inputting all payment details as well as insuring the correct procedures and documents have been completed fully and that everything is recorded accurately throughout the whole process. You will act as a liaison between third-party travel agencies – your role will be to maintain contact and ensure that all parties are kept fully up-to-date with arrangements and any changes, this includes suppliers, travel agencies and of course staff and contractors. You will also be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of third-party bookings, in ensuring that all bookings meet the need of the business. You will provide vast amounts of information to travelers, including safety information, information on visa procedures and other more generic travel and booking advice.

Salary:
AED 7,000 to 9,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

What you'll need to succeed
The best candidate will be somebody who has an excellent level of organization, the ability to understand complicated logistical information and high attention to detail. Furthermore, you will also need to be able to communicate with employees, supervisors and travel agencies with professionalism, clarity and accuracy. In addition to these general skills and personal characteristics, you should have the following: an outstanding level of interpersonal communication, working knowledge of the travel industry, the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, an understanding of travel policies and regulations, strong negotiation skills and the ability to maintain and manage vendor relationships. The perfect candidate will also have a customer service attitude, with a background within tourism or hospitality – a degree would be beneficial, but not necessary with the right experience.
