Treasury Analyst

Job Purpose
• To conduct financial analysis, prepare presentations and publish reports in order to support Treasury in the achievement of revenue and balance sheet targets.

Scope

Accountability

Reporting
• To ensure accurate and timely reporting of P/L and management information.
• Monitor and report liquidity, funding, interest rate and foreign exchange position and ensure exposures are within internal and regulatory limits.
• To assist in the preparation of Treasury presentations and to support Treasury administrative requirements
• Proactively look for opportunities to optimize current Treasury processes, and develop new approaches to improve the process and control environment Analysis
• Perform regular and detailed analysis on all aspects of the Bank's current and future balance sheet position and recommend strategies to optimize the Bank's profitability.

Regulatory
• Develop a deep understanding of the changing liquidity and interest rate regulatory landscape to ensure the Bank is at the forefront of its GCC and international peers.

Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities to contribute to organizational and departmental change initiatives, programmes and projects taking into account best practice and standards in the business environment

Customer Service
• Demonstrate and apply the Bank’s Service Standards to deliver the bank’s required levels of service to all internal and external customer interactions

Salary:
AED 25,000 to 30,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

Experience, Qualifications & Competencies

Minimum Experience
• At least 3 years of experience working in ALM, Risk Management or Treasury

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Banking, Finance, Economics, Commerce, Business Management, or equivalent

Professional Qualifications
• Financial Risk Manager (FRM) or CA/CFA certification with strong abilities

Knowledge and Skills
• Understanding of derivatives instruments and pricing for vanilla interest rate derivatives
• Proficient in MS Office applications
• Intermediate knowledge in VBA and SQL
• Experience in ALM software and knowledge of UAE liquidity regulations would be an advantage
