Utilities Coordinator

Job description / Role

Our Clients’ regional office is recognized as a dynamic, fast growing Emerging Market; comprising twenty four countries and headquarters in Dubai. They are part of a multinational company; an engineering technology and solutions company, responsible for developing, marketing and selling products, applications and solutions across the water, waste water industries; from Transport, Treatment, Dewatering, Aftermarket & Service and Building Water Solutions for MENA clients, consultants and contractors. Their mission is to drive sustainable and profitable growth in the served markets by executing a global strategy at a regional level for sales, marketing and support structures.

As part of the growth strategy, our client is recruiting for a Utilities Operator for their new JAFZA factory / warehouse.

The Utilities Operator will be responsible for operation, maintenance and repair of utilities (Compressors, Generators, HVAC system, Electrical MDB’s & DB’s).
- Performs routine tasks relative to equipment operations (Compressors, Generators, HVAC system, Electical MDB’s & DB’s) as directed.
- Assist Plant Operator/Supervisor in operations of plant controls as instructed.
- Performs minor preventative maintenance of systems as designated.
- Assists in maintaining records of equipment operations.
- Keep work area clean, neat and orderly.
- Lines up, starts, stops and secures equipment as required by the plant operator/Supervisor.
- Knows and abides by all safety rules and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

- Minimum education and experience requires a Diploma (preferably Electrical) with 3 years experience in any industry on similar position
- Must have ability to operate Compressor, Generators, AHU’s, FAHU’s, Exhaust system, Electrical MDB’s & DB’s and associated accessories.
- Problem Solving: Identifies problems, determines possible solutions, and actively works to resolve the issues.
- Must have ability to maintain records of activities.
- Must have adequate communication skills.
