Utilities Engineer

Job description / Role

We are looking for a skilled Utilities Engineer to join our team in Dubai, UAE. The Utilities Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the essential utility systems that support the infrastructure and operations of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, with a focus on utilities and infrastructure systems.

Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing utility systems including water supply, wastewater treatment, electrical power, and HVAC systems.
- Ensuring compliance with local regulations and environmental standards in the design and operation of utility systems.
- Conducting feasibility studies and cost analysis for utility system projects.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate utility systems into new construction and renovation projects.
- Monitoring and maintaining the performance of utility systems, identifying and resolving any issues or inefficiencies.
- Developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs for utility systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Providing technical expertise and support for troubleshooting utility system failures and emergencies.
- Staying current with industry trends and best practices in utility system design, operation, and maintenance.
- Contributing to the development of sustainability initiatives and energy efficiency improvements within utility systems.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, with a focus on utilities, infrastructure, or environmental systems.
- Proven experience in the design, implementation, and maintenance of utility systems, preferably in an industrial or commercial setting.
- Strong knowledge of local regulations, codes, and standards related to utility systems and environmental compliance.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools for utility system design and analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex utility system issues.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines and budget constraints.
- Certifications or professional affiliations related to utility engineering or environmental systems are a plus.
- Commitment to staying current with industry developments and best practices in utility engineering and sustainability.
