Wood is currently looking for Vibration Engineer (Products) to be based in Abu Dhabi.

Wood Group Vibration, Dynamics, and Noise (VDN) service line introduced its Anti-Vibration Products to the market in 2016. The products generated success due to their unique features, capabilities and created value to our customers.

The goal of this role is to significantly expand the awareness of the anti-vibration products in the Middle East region.

The selected candidate will be based in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E., collaborating with the Anti-Vibration Products team. Their primary role will involve bolstering the sales process through in-depth knowledge of the products and services, while also nurturing and managing essential relationships with end users, with a focus on maintaining and expanding existing partnerships. Additionally, they will actively contribute to spreading awareness of the products and services in the Middle East market by closely collaborating with Wood account managers and the technical community. Through their efforts, they will help maintain strong relationships with current end users while exploring opportunities for growth within the market.

- Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of the technical products and services offered by the company.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and objectives.
- Customer Engagement: Identify and engage with potential customers to understand their needs and requirements.
- Technical Consultation: Provide technical expertise and consultation to clients, demonstrating how the products meet their specific needs.
- Presentations and Demonstrations: Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of the products to potential customers.
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers to foster loyalty and trust.
- Sales Negotiation: Negotiate terms and conditions with customers, ensuring win-win outcomes for both parties.
- Proposal Development: Prepare and submit proposals, quotes, and bids in response to customer inquiries.
- Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to identify new business opportunities.
- Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales pipeline.
- Customer Support: Provide post-sales support to customers, addressing any technical inquiries or issues that may arise.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with the technical and production teams to ensure alignment of sales efforts with company objectives.
- Forecasting: Provide sales forecasts and regular performance reports to management.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with advancements in technology and industry developments to maintain a competitive edge.
- Travel: Up to 70% travel to meet clients, attend trade shows, or participate in industry events.

Requirements

- Preferred qualifications include an Engineering or Business degree, or relevant equivalent experience.
- Prior sales experience in a technical product environment is desirable.
- The ideal candidate should be a self-starter with exceptional networking skills and creative abilities to tackle sales challenges.
- As an organized and disciplined sales professional, strong attention to detail is essential.
- The role requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills are a must.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications is expected.
- Candidates should be capable of interpreting engineering data and drawings.
- Effective communication in English, especially with technical terminology, is necessary.
- A clean driving record is required.

- Exceptional organization skills to accomplish targeted number of meetings and client interactions.
- Practical visualization skills to perceive solutions while not physically present at the location of an event.
