Charterhouse are currently working with a leading client, within the corporate and investment banking space, whom are in the process of looking to recruit a Vice President (VP) of Internal Audit.
This role shall work within a regional internal audit function, covering the full activities of lending, product lines and branch operations, to provide an impartial and independent assurance and control environment. This is coupled with producing audit reports, for both key control areas of the bank, along with the monitoring and assessment of operational and support-based functions.
In conjunction, the internal audit coverage also spans front office activity; to assess marketing activities, product specification, client engagements and lending structures. Internal audit also supports the compliance function, with a focus towards financial crime and/or jurisdiction policy, to ensure all regulatory frameworks are adhered-to, whilst developing policy and governance in parallel.
This VP shall play a pivotal role within the support of both regional management and group audit committee allowing for controllership and risk governance, whilst undertaking regional audit assignments, across the network of offices and all related business activities and/or partners.
Within this recruitment piece, the client will look to identify a senior and qualified audit professional from either an accounting (ACA, ACCA or CPA) background or qualified within the internal audit discipline (CIA and/or CISA). The successful candidate shall be required to demonstrate a track record within either a consultancy environment and most recently within a banking organisation; with an ideal coverage across corporate and/or investment-based platforms and service lines.
This is designed to ensure a knowledge transfer whilst also ensuring that stakeholder-management is overseen with a level of competency and understanding. Within this role and the regional context, applicants shall be required to gather, produce and deliver written reports with a high a level of accuracy, integrity and narrative. As a standard within internal audit, the client will look for impartial and trusted individuals whom are also well-versed across international regulatory frameworks.
