The Challenge

Mubadala Healthcare has two primary focuses:

To help address the region's most pressing healthcare needs through the creation of specialist, world-class healthcare facilities, building regional capability and stimulating the overall development of the sector.

Deploying capital internationally in financially appealing sub-sectors of the healthcare industry through a dedicated Healthcare investment team based in Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities

You will bring industry expertise and lead investment processes from origination to execution including Investment committee presentation. In particular:

- Act and behave with a Principal's mindset in the deployment of investment capital
- Source healthcare investment opportunities
- Perform due diligence, financial modelling, feasibility studies and business case development
- Propose investment options/structures to improve returns and create value
- Prepare investment memos and investment committee documentation
- Work closely within the Healthcare investment team and present recommended investments to the Healthcare leadership team
- Support the team to refine the investment strategy and execution model for Mubadala Healthcare inline with global best in class practices
- Mentor and coach all junior members of the team including UAE Nationals to become capable investors and business leaders

Requirements

Qualifications

Knowledge, skills and experience

- Ideally MBA or CFA or Chartered Accountant. As a minimum, a degree in Economics, Finance, or equivalent quantitative based subject (e.g. Engineering)
- Healthcare investment specialist with acquisitions and portfolio management acumen as well as experience in setting operational processes and developing, coaching, and training staff.
- 5+ years' experience in Healthcare with deal sheet that shows a record of success in investments and asset management across multi asset class, multi geography portfolios with minimum of 2+ year's in a leadership, people management experience
- Business acumen with ability to review and bring valuable recommendations to investment analyses
- Market knowledge in Continental Europe and or US and UK would be a key differentiator
- Able to demonstrate strong set of business ethics and personal integrity
- Able to engage, report and influence at Leadership team level
