VP - Cyber Network and Defense

Job description / Role

In this role, you will:

- Assist VP and SVP, within Cyber Advisory Services over Cyber Network Defence (CND) in developing strategies to expand the portfolio of services offered and improve the efficiency and consistency of service delivery
- Supervise and manage delivery of services related to Network (wired and wireless), web- based applications, systems, and database penetration tests and vulnerability assessments, manage results and ensure all recommendations to the Government and other clients are well documented and provisioned in a clear, unambiguous language
- Supervise and manage delivery of technical security assessments, logical security audits, and technical security evaluations and implementations
- Supervise and manage delivery of compromised assessments, threat hunting, incident response and digital forensics services
- Provide expert in-depth knowledge in collecting and analysing security events and responding to security incidents
- Develop strategies to handle security incidents and coordinate investigative activities
- Maintain a Technical Testing and Digital Forensic Laboratory against ISO accreditation.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, threats, methodologies and core technologies in order to assimilate client needs and provide appropriate technical remediation solutions
- Ability to lead the development of current threat identification techniques and development of new methodologies and frameworks
- Lead and support sales proposals and presentations
- Ensure adherence to operating budget of CND unit
- Develop talent within the team by providing consistent direction and support to achieve targets and grow into leadership positions
- Consistently manage team, including resolving issues and maintaining high motivation levels within the team
- Complete accurate, objective and fact-based performance appraisals for all direct reports on time
- Provide input to performance appraisals of peers
- Establish a trusted advisor relationship through oversite and delivery at multiple executive levels within client environments
- Understand all security related initiatives in active delivery or planned projects
- Develop, align with appropriate metrics in consulting delivery
- Writes and presents effectively; adjusts to fit the audience and the message; strongly gets a message across
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience leading and supporting technical assessments and audit activities
- Strong decision making, time management, and customer service skills
- Act as a role model for the DarkMatter Group culture and values

Requirements

Extensive experience with:

- Vulnerability Assessments
- Penetration Testing
- Network Security
- Application Security
- Intrusion Detection or Prevention, Response and Management
- Digital Forensics
- Threat modeling fundamentals and penetration testing skills
- Experience with establishing and maturing enterprise Risk Management Frameworks
- Familiarity with current application models, data analytics, cloud services, and mobility
- Familiarity with SIEM tools, next generation firewalls, and behavioural analytics
- Specific knowledge of cyber security and risk management requirements

Mandatory Certifications/Qualifications

- GCIH, GCCI, CCE, CISSP, CISM, CISA, CGEIT, CRISC or other SANS Related certification(s)
- Master's degree in cybersecurity, MBA or related, and 12+ years of experience in information security
