Web Developer - PHP

Job description / Role

We are sourcing for skilled PHP Developers to assist us with our CRM offering. The role is highly technical and encompasses all of the requirements for developing, supporting and maintaining our internal and external applications within a fully agile team. Due to the nature of our industry and our current positioning, the amount of data processed is extremely high and as a result our systems have a complex back end and require individuals with a good eye for detail, proactive attitude and a solid commercial experience developing web applications.

Requirements

- Write and implement clean, secure, well-documented and bug-free code to support the front and back-end functionality of internal systems
- Implement, upgrade, and make improvements to Content Management Systems and Customer Relationship Management portals to ensure they are used efficiently and optimally throughout the organization
- Follow specifications independently and working collaboratively to write PHP, jQuery, YUI2, JavaScript, HTML, AJAX, CSS and other languages as needed for the smooth functioning of all Wakanow systems across platforms such as desktop and mobile
- Demonstrated expertise customizing and integrating SugarCRM/ SuiteCRM
- Developed using Smarty Templating engine
- Design and implement new web page templates, layouts, widgets, and other assets as needed for desktop and mobile devices
- Improve and maintain the integration of Wakanow’s internal systems and web portal
- Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) design (RESTful/SOAP)
- Knowledge of relational databases and version control tools
- Knowledge of OOPS, UML, ORM and other patterns
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Understanding of Agile Scrum
- Understanding of Test Driven Development
- Travel Domain Experience
Skills (Must have):
- Extensive experience with customizing and integrating CRM applications, such as Vtiger CRM, SalesForce.com, Sage CRM, MS Dynamics
- Expert proficiency with WordPress and Drupal
