On behalf of our client, a repair and manufacturing precision engineering facility in the oil and gas industry into the mechanical repair of drilling tools, specifically MWD/LWD services is recruiting an experienced General Manager.

Reporting to CEO, the successful person could already be in a GM position or be an Operations Manager, Engineering Manager for example.

This is a hands on role that will provide support and assistance on all strategic and tactical matters of Company’s Middle East business performance to include operational efficiency, budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs and business growth.

You will be accountable for the operation of the company with full responsibility of Profit & Loss (P&L) performance, develop and execute recovery programme to maintain business performance in line with group expectations, implement a process of continual improvement across the workshop and drive increased productivity, optimal capacity planning and develop consumable and material strategy, improve manufacturing and repair process to drive down cycle times, miniminise cost and maximize profitability.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the O&G service environment with focus on repair of downhole equipment and / or manufacturing of high integrity components with detailed understanding of tools and techniques to improve business performance (ie. Lean manufacturing, 6 Sigma or similar). You should be able to demonstrate the delivery of financial performance and growth in a similar industry sector. You must possess excellent leadership and people skills and the ability to communication and motivate people at all levels.
