Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Volunteers are in the heart of the Special Olympics movement and they are the large workforce type of the Regional and World Games Abu Dhabi. The Games can’t be delivered without the commitment of thousands of volunteers.

Workforce Planning Specialist will be responsible for developing a workforce planning framework (model), support the execution of the plan, propose solutions in case of unexpected events, and prepare reports for the senior leadership.

In addition to creating and tracking kpis for volunteers for every functional area.

This position will work in collaboration with other areas, such as operations, venue management and sport to create an integrated and realistic workforce operation plan to support Abu Dhabi Regional (2018) and World (2019) Games.

This position may support the Senior Planning Manager is other support activities, such as preparing reports and presentations.

The ideal candidate is required to perform excellently with the below key responsibilities:

• Plan and design the workforce planning framework (modelling)
• Develop a model to support the workforce planning per functional area
• Prepare the headcount planning reports
• Support the Functional Areas Supervisors in determining the required number of volunteers, per functional area, venues, zones and shifts
• Work in coordination with the operations/ logistics team providing accurate information about the volunteers schedule
• Adjust the workforce model as necessary
• Provide necessary information and requirements to the IT team in relation to the volunteers numbers
• Support the system develop for scheduling volunteers
• Interact with the team responsible for the Connect system and guarantee that the solution is fit for purpose

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent
• Analytical skills, positive attitude, personable person, with a strong attitude of getting things done.
• Advanced skills in Power Point, Excel, or similar software
• Proactive attitude, talented in problem solving and adaptable.
• Experience developing workforce planning, modelling, scheduling
• Experience leveraging technology to drive efficiency and effectiveness (desirable)
• BI experience is an advantage
