Guildhall is honored to represent this distinguished EPC organization in Uganda, actively seeking a qualified Offshore Construction Specialist with expertise in offshore structure engineering, small offshore platform/jetty construction, and advantageous experience in offshore pipeline design and construction.

The key accountabilities encompass directing and coordinating construction activities through Construction Engineers & Supervisors, liaising with the client project/engineering team, and collaborating with Ugandan authorities for the successful execution of the offshore platform and pipeline installation. The Specialist will interface with the Engineering Department to prepare technical documents, specifications, method statements, and procedures for the project. Regular participation in interface and coordination meetings with clients and other stakeholders is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Engineering Division to review structural design for the offshore lake water abstraction platform, including the deck structure and jacket.
• Review equipment layouts on the lake water abstraction platform, prepare lifting and loading plans, working space requirements, HSE/evacuation route layouts, and operability of the LWA platform.
• Review the engineering design of the HDPE subsea pipeline, prepare a construction execution plan, and method statements for client review and approval.
• Interface with Engineering Division for input into the engineering design of the offshore pipeline.
• Input into construction feasibility studies for the project.
• Develop Construction Execution Plan, Construction Methodologies, and other related documents.
• Act as the key interface with the client, chairing weekly progress meetings, constructability reviews, and other workshops as required.
• Provide inputs into schedule and estimates.
• Coordinate and supervise construction personnel on-site.
• Prepare weekly progress reports for the client.
• Liaise with Engineering Division and equipment package suppliers to resolve any technical issues.
• Review environmental impact during construction and proactively address ESIA issues.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate should possess a BS degree in Engineering/Project Management or equivalent field experiences.
• Essential experiences include offshore platform/subsea pipeline, structure design, and construction.
• Recognized expertise and leadership in construction and project management.
• Exposure to diverse cultures, backgrounds, and environments.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Minimum of 20 years in the O&G industry, with ten years in a leadership role.
• Green and brownfield project experience.
• Expertise in detailed engineering design of offshore platforms and subsea pipelines, process risk management, and construction & commissioning methods.
• Fluent in the English language.
