AML Monitoring Manager

Job description / Role

Client is one of the world's fastest growing commercial banks. They are looking for an ambitious AML Monitoring Manager to head up the development of their financial crime prevention from a monitoring and surveillance perspective.


The role consists of direct exposure to senior level stakeholders from day 1, developing and maintaining the bank's AML monitoring programme, and keeping up-to-date on industry developments to advise the bank on how to enhance their current system.

Role Specifications:
* Participate in the management and investigation of alerts and escalate them to senior management
* Mentor and support team members who participate in the AML monitoring programme
* Oversee the performance of a large area of the bank

Requirements

* Strong understanding of the role of transaction monitoring
* Experience of working with automated transaction monitoring solutions
* A good understanding of the challenges in developing effective rules and parameters
* Highly effective communication skills
* Ability to engage and influence others
