Job description / Role
The Commis Chef is responsible for the preparation of high-quality, delicious Continental-Italian-Western cuisine. This position includes a variety of duties such as cutting, chopping, and preparing meats, vegetables, and other ingredients for dishes. The Commis Chef will assist the Head Chef in menu creation, ordering, and kitchen management.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare high-quality Continental-Italian-Western dishes according to recipes and standards
• Ensure that all food is stocked and ready for service
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Ensure food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed
• Follow instructions of the Head Chef to assist in menu creation
• Receive and store food deliveries
• Assist in kitchen inventory and ordering
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service
• Assist in menu and recipe development
Requirements:
• Experience in the culinary field preferred
• Good understanding of Continental-Italian-Western cuisine
• Knowledge of proper food safety and sanitation procedures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Passion for cooking and food
• Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from the Head Chef
Salary:
USD
1,500 to 2,200
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
