Continued project growth of major commercial projects in New York, USA has created two exceptional opportunities as Contract Administrators with our client, an international commercial stone contracting firm from Canada with offices across Canada, the USA, Australia, Hong Kong, Monaco, Italy and South East Asia. Following the recent award of numerous stone construction contracts, our client seeks to appoint 2 Contract Administrators to lead the stone package for a major commercial museum refurbishment and extension project valued at $750M.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this role is responsible for the following:
• Post-contract duties including cost estimates, procurement, contract administration, variation, final account, etc.
• Assist in liaising with clients and suppliers to ensure information; costs, profitability and value meet the requirements of the project.
• Assist in producing breakdowns and undertake value engineering process to meet client budgetary requirements
• Assist in providing contractual advice to the Project Manager and Commercial Manager.
• Assist in undertaking the preparation and processing of quotations, take-offs, bids and tenders within Client deadlines.
• Assist in preparing cost, value and reconciliation monthly reports on each assigned project.
• Attend internal hand-over meetings and site meetings.
• Allocating work to subcontractors and supplier.
• Providing advice on contractual claims.
• Analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports.
• Valuing completed work and arranging payments.
• Comply with the Company’s Quality Assurance and Health and Safety requirements and best practice.

Requirements

• Degree in Construction, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or comparable experience.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in contract administration / quantity surveying ideally within the stone contracting sector on high end commercial projects. Experience within the commercial interior fit out sector will also be considered.
• The excellent negotiator we seek will be commercially astute with a strong attention to detail and be superior contractually.
• Contracting or sub-contracting industry experience is required.

An excellent salary package, with stable employment and exceptional projects, will be offered to attract suitable candidates to this role. An E3 visa will be provided for Australian Nationals to work in the United States (costs borne by client).
