IT Asset Manager - Extendable Contract

As an IT Asset Manager, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining robust governance practices for the ongoing ITAM program.

Description

* Spearhead the establishment of governance frameworks for the ongoing ITAM program, with a particular focus on SAM and HAM tool evaluations, vendor assessments, and tender preparation.
* Administer SAM and HAM tools, implementing governance controls to ensure precise inventory control of software and hardware assets.
* Oversee license management with a strong emphasis on compliance assurance, collaborating seamlessly with cross-functional teams to align assets with organizational objectives.
* Generate regular reports and in-depth analyses on asset management metrics, providing essential insights to drive governance decisions.
* Lead contract negotiations with vendors, utilizing governance principles to optimize licensing agreements, pricing, and terms.
* Conduct detailed analyses of software/hardware usage patterns, applying governance strategies for optimization, cost reduction, and enhanced efficiency.
* Develop and implement comprehensive policies and procedures governing software/hardware asset management, aligning with industry standards and compliance requirements.
* Monitor and control software/hardware-related costs, employing governance principles to identify opportunities for savings without compromising operational effectiveness.
* Mitigate potential risks associated with software/hardware assets through proactive governance measures, addressing security vulnerabilities, compliance issues, and end-of-life considerations.
* Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in IT Asset Management, actively disseminating knowledge and applying governance standards across technical and non-technical teams.
* Act as the business owner of enterprise asset management solutions, leading the design and governance for both IT and non-IT users.
* Oversee the design and execution of governance-driven standards and operational processes for configuration management.

Job Offer

* At least 10 years of overall experience, with proven track record in IT Asset Management with a focus on governance, SAM, HAM, and Configuration Management.
* Strong understanding of software licensing agreements and compliance requirements, with a governance-oriented approach.
* Excellent negotiation skills and a track record of successful collaboration with vendors within a governance framework.
* Familiarity with industry trends and best practices in IT Asset Management governance.
