IT Specialist

Job description / Role

Our client is a small but financially very stable family office in Dubai. They have been operating for about 1 year, and still in ‘start-up’ phase.

We are seeking an experienced ‘stand alone’ IT Manager to join the team. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of work experience in IT management, with a proven track record of efficiently managing and resolving various technical issues that arise within the office environment.

As the business grows, this role will develop quickly.

Responsibilities
• Reporting to the UK
• Rolling out infrastructure according to the instructions from the UK
• Oversee the day-to-day IT operations of the Dubai office and its group subsidiaries, ensuring smooth functioning of all systems and networks.
• Manage and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues as they arise.
• Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures to protect company data and systems.
• Manage the data transfer to the private servers
• Provide technical support and assistance to all staff members as needed.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies or upgrades to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide appropriate solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in IT to ensure the company remains competitive.
• Manage the home networking for the Owner’s family – ensuring safety on children’s ipads etc

Salary:
AED 12,000 to 18,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5-10 years of proven experience in IT management.
• A curious mind with the ability to think outside the box
• Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and cybersecurity protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
• Experience with cloud-based systems and services is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A ‘people person’, you should have charisma and a fun personality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Someone who has worked in a small company, and has proven ‘hands-on’ experience
• Someone able to work independently
• Preference for someone who has worked in a European environment or a large multinational, so understands what ‘best practice’ looks like
