Section Head - Cybersecurity Monitoring

Job description / Role

In this critical role, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of security analysts, developing and implementing a comprehensive security monitoring program, and ensuring the timely detection and mitigation of cyber threats.

You will also lead and manage a team of security analysts, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance management.

Description

* Develop and implement a comprehensive security monitoring program, aligned with industry best practices and government regulations.
* Design and configure security monitoring tools and technologies, including SIEM, EDR, and network traffic analysis solutions.
* Analyse security alerts and events, identify potential threats, and escalate incidents according to defined procedures.
* Conduct investigations into security incidents, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
* Maintain situational awareness of the evolving threat landscape and advise on appropriate security measures.
* Prepare and deliver regular reports on security posture and monitoring activities to senior management.
* Stay up-to-date on the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies, and recommend improvements to the security monitoring program.

Requirements

* Minimum of 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
* Proven experience in managing and operating a security monitoring program.
* In-depth knowledge of security monitoring tools and technologies, including SIEM, EDR, and network traffic analysis solutions;
