Urban Designer

Job description / Role

My client is a renowned global design practice currently working on several exciting developments across the Middle East. The practice has multiple offices across the region and are looking to strengthen their office in Dubai to support the continued growth.

Their most pressing requirement is for an Urban Designer or Master Planner to join the team in the Dubai.
We are looking to consider those from the UK/Ire, Europe, South Africa, Australia/NZ due to the client's strict requirements.

Responsibilities (But not limited to):
• Assist in writing Current Assessment multi-sectoral reports
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop urban planning and design solutions
• Apply sustainable urban planning principles to promote environmentally responsible and resilient urban development
• Prepare client presentations and content
• Good knowledge of data collection and research capabilities and ability to analyse qualitative and quantitative data
• Ability to understand land use, context, concept and detailed maps
• Experience in stakeholder coordination and policy development and governance is a plus
• Understanding of planning the MENA region especially in the UAE
• Team work and collaboration within a team/dedication to meet client deadlines

Salary:
AED 35,000 to 45,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Urban Planning/Architecture
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture / Urban
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience in producing reports and presenting to clients
• Software skills: AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, GIS, Adobe Creative Suite
• Communication and fluency in English
